The aim of the
AIGS is to develop, to manage, and work out research concerning guidance, assistance and infant psychiatric treatments. It also stands in for vocational and social rehabilitation of mental disabled people, as well as for scientific research concerning all mental health problems related to children and young people, guidance of children, young people and adults.
AIGS organizes many activities in the area of health care, assistance to disabled people, early care, functional and psychological rehabilitation services, day care and sheltered accommodation, assistance to youth under protection, psychological support, assistance to victims, aid program for abusers under constraint, addiction treatments and substitution programmes, family support, artistic creation, cultural development, social ecology, socio-professional integration, vocational and continued trainings
It has a 20 year experience of training trainers in the health sector, in vocational training, continuing education, and participation in European programmes like Interreg, Leonardo and Daphne both as coordinator and partner in the field of prevention and fight against violence towards women, domestic violence, sexual abuse towards children, towards disabled people, institutional violence, violence at school and violence in the workplace.
